For centuries, lucky explorers have been discovering the many hidden treasures of Amelia Island.  Now visitors can roam the island with a high-tech game of Hide-and-Seek called the Amelia Island Geocaching Challenge.  This free program uses the growing sport of geocaching to give adventurous visitors a chance to find valuable discounts and prizes, including a chance to win a four-night stay at the luxurious Addison on Amelia.

How it works:
1. Stay at a participating lodging partner and request the Official Amelia Island Geocaching Challenge entry form from either the front desk or concierge.

2. Use your own handheld GPS device to find the coordinates listed on the entry form. Once you are at the appropriate coordinates, search to find the hidden geocache.

3. Each geocache includes a unique code. Locate the code and record it on your entry form, and remember to sign the logbook. Don’t be surprised if you find coupons and other goodies along the way.

4. After you’ve found all the geocaches and recorded the hidden codes, bring the completed entry form to the Amelia Island Visitors Center located at 102 Centre Street in downtown Fernandina Beach. Here you will receive your official certificate of completion and be entered to win the giveaway*.
